Morning came early  and we headed for Tyler.  We didn’t know much about Tyler, but we knew that the landscape was starting to look a little more like the East Tennessee landscape.  Tyler was a beautiful campus, brutalist buildings, surrounding small lakes.  The center of campus was very park like.  While getting ready for the show, a large crowd of students gathered around a TV to play Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U.  This provided us some in-show commentary that got some laughs.

We had a core audience up front that were feeding us during the show.  This was made up of students trying to kill time, and the activities coordinators that brought us there.  Asia Samson, award winning spoken word poet, who has performed more shows at colleges than anyone I know, has the mantra of ā€œ3000 or 3ā€.  If there are 3000 people in the audience, you give the same energy as if there were 3.  This was closer to the 3 end, but we did our best to give our all.

We packed up, got some free Chick Fil A from the school, and headed out to Dallas, and then to Austin for some much needed rest.  We saw the silos in Waco, where Magnolia Market is located, and drove right by McLane Stadium, where the Baylor Bears football team plays.  Texas BBQ was calling our name, so we swung into The Salt Lick and chowed down on some brisket, sausage, and ribs.  The sun set calmly in the background, as we made our way to the South Congress neighborhood of Austin.
